Joe's Pick:

Andrew Murray Vineyards Tous les Jours Syrah 2014

"One of the nicest California Syrahs I've had in a long time!"

The 2014 Syrah Tous les Jours is a stunning bottle of wine... It is a decidely flashy, extroverted Syrah loaded with blue and black fruits, and spicy notes from the cool climate origins & the indulgent oak aging. "Tous les Jours" means every day, hinting at the rich & drinkable style.

Zach's Pick:

Infinito Monastrell Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

"The name says it all, I have an infinite amount of great things to say about this full-bodied, rich Spanish red!"

Cola, licorice and leather notes frame plum and tar flavors in this savory red. There's good depth beneath the polished texture, with balanced tannins and balsamic acidity for structure. Drink now through 2020.

Peg's Pick:

Miles Wine Cellars Treasure Port

"The perfect Valentine's Day Wine!  Hands down, my favorite New York Port!"

Fortified to 21% alcohol with a warm, rich finish. Delicious after dinner in the front of the fire with Stilton blue cheese and lightly toasted walnuts.

Braden's Pick:

Tessellae Old Vine Grenache Syrah Mourvedre 2014

"A fantastic bottle of wine for the money.  This is full bodied enough to stand up to a steak dinner or the tannis are soft enough to drink on its own."

A stunning bargain from Lafage is the 2014 Tessellae Old Vines, a blend of 50% Grenache, 40% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre, all aged in concrete. Much of it comes from 70-year-old vines planted in limestone and clay soils. A delicious, dense ruby wine with notes of red and black cherries, earth, spice, pepper and a touch of Provençal garrigue. Fresh vibrant acidity is also present, and the wine is uncomplicated, but rich, fleshy and very well balanced.
